The book I read was The Boy on the Wooden Box by Leon Leyson. This book was 203 pages long. Something you might know about Leon Leyson is that he survived the holocaust. My favorite part of this book is all the interesting facts it taught me.

Suddenly the gun fired. In The Boy on the Wooden Box Leon Leyson and his family want to live a normal life again. Since they are Jews during the Holocaust, they have to stay in Ghettos and Concentration Camps. In those places they are treated miserably, and have no resources such as food and water provided. So, Leon’s father’s boss decides to provide extra care for the Leysons and a few other Jewish families. That care includes a tiny bit of food and some time away from the Ghetto. Then as the Holocaust gets worse, it gets harder, and harder to survive, and the labor for the Jews gets harder and has a punishment of death. Will Leon and his family survive the cruel Holocaust? Read The Boy on the Wooden Box by Leon Leyson to find out.
